Christmas greens

boxwood is beautiful and long lasting.  Sometime you need floral foam for arrangements, sometimes you don't.

Red twig dogwood adds an interesting touch and height to an arrangement.  Here everything was just popped into a vase.

Mix greens with your collectibles

Big ball small urn a perfect match
I love to use fresh greens for the holidays.  Just gather a few arm loads of cedar, boxwood, evergreens or arbiviate.  Insert in vases and boxes or anything that will hold water or you can hide a glass with water.  Check water often.  Arrangements like this should last about 3 weeks, by that time you'll be tired of them and you can buy a big bouquet of fresh flowers for Christmas dinner.
