Give thanks

Today is Memorial day.  Originally started as a day to remember those who lost their lives during the civil war.  Now it is a time to thank all of our military members, past and present for their service.  Our small town VFW has a service on the square and decorates with flags.  Around here it is also time to decorate the grave sites of those who have gone before us and reflect on how they have affected our lives.  So say thank you to every vet or service person you can.  And take the time to say a little prayer of thanks for the family and friends you no longer have here.   Oh yeah a little BBQ chicken and potato salad would be great too.
